Samsung One UI 7 a Massive Upgrade in the One UI’s History Ever

Spread the love

Samsung embraced its Galaxy devices with the highly awaited One UI 7 beta program, which is currently available in some selective regions. The newer update definitely takes center stage with the most impressive and innovative features that drive the mobile AI experience to the next level.

While the most exciting part is the entire visual overall and revamped UI, here we have managed to cover Samsung’s entire One UI 7 version: its innovative features and changes that are powered by AI.

Samsung One UI 7 Wins Hearts with Its Amazing Features

A lot of predictions were made in the past regarding One UI 7, some proved to be exactly the same, while others were just assumptions. Meanwhile, the One UI 7 beta is officially here, let’s take an overall look at Samsung’s biggest One UI update ever.

Most awaited vertical app drawer:

First up, the highly anticipated vertical app drawer. Almost every smartphone manufacturer, regardless of the company, has an app drawer on the home screen that allows users to vertically scroll their apps, and, of course, there’s nothing special about the feature.

However, with One UI 7, Samsung Galaxy fans will be more than happy, as the company has finally adopted the vertical scrolling of the applications when arranged in the app drawer. To enable the feature, tapping the button at the bottom right corner next to the search bar will allow vertical scrolling, and when you need to switch back to the horizontal one, simply follow the same step again; it’s that simple. This will reduce the hassle of entering settings or the Good Lock.

The most impressive—Now Bar:

The most exciting and latest addition is the NowBar. Samsung with One UI 7 beta got a new Now Bar feature to convert lock screen notifications into the dynamic one. Now Bar is basically a new notification system in the form of a pill-shaped bar for the lock screen that offers users instant access to key notifications, eliminating the need to constantly unlock the phone.

The feature highlights relevant activities across several features such as music, SOS, timer, recorder, health, and interpreter. But yes! The Now Bar is not just a visual change that looks aesthetically appealing; users can easily interact with it too.

Control over battery charging limits:

With One UI 7, Samsung has improved the battery functionalities as well, offering even more control over the device’s battery charging limits. It’s just that, now, in the Device Care settings, users can easily set a limit for how much your battery should charge. The options significantly range from 80% to 95%, which eventually prevents your battery from charging to 100% constantly while also expanding the overall lifespan of the device.

Temporary mute notifications:

People often mute their device to avoid unnecessary notifications, but what if this feature automatically enables your smartphone to unmute itself once you forget to turn on the ringing mode? One UI 7 has got this feature covered as well. With the Temporary Mute option, now users can mute their phone temporarily for a specified amount of time, and it gets disabled automatically when the time set is over.

Improved Call Transcription, supporting 20 languages:

Another useful addition is the Call Transcription feature that is now combined with more powerful AI innovations. Once this feature is enabled, each recorded call will get transcribed automatically, offering you the written records of conversations along with the voice recording. This feature supports a total of 20 languages.

Enhanced AI-powered writing tools:

AI writing tools were first introduced with One UI 6.1.1 as the Galaxy AI feature. With One UI 7, Samsung has upgraded the AI-powered writing tools while also offering options like selecting a text or content to summarize it, translate it, and more.

Stunning and smoother animations:

One UI 7’s stunning animations feel so smooth and are definitely the most functional and innovative aspect of the overall UI. It’s impressive how much smoother the animations have become, whether it’s opening or closing the applications or scrolling through the apps or any content. This change literally stands out from the rest and offers a more immersive experience to the users.

Improved Task Manager:

The Recent apps screen, or the task manager screen, now uses a new stacked style; however, this can also be applied through the Good Lock’s Home Up module as well. And now, this option can be set as the default. This significantly makes multitasking more neat and attractive.

One UI 7 splits Notifications and Quick Settings into two:

One UI 7 separates the notification panel from the quick settings. The people will now be able to dismiss their notifications by swiping both the left and right sides of the screen, with one swipe to the left side in the blank space letting you open the Quick Settings. Also, Samsung has now adopted a different move where the notifications panel roughly takes up 75% of the swipe area, while the quick settings occupy the remaining 25% of the swipe area, although users can revert back to the previous behavior by tapping the Together option.

Redesigned Stock app widgets:

Alongside other visual revamps, Samsung’s One UI 7 brings various redesigned widgets for the Galaxy apps and services for an efficient and more personalized experience. They are perfectly blended while also adding a nice blurry effect to the screen. These widgets include Camera, Battery, Clock, Calendar, Contacts, Digital Wellbeing, Device Care, Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, and more.

Better battery functionality:

With One UI 7, smartphones will now display a numerical percentage inside the battery icon in a pill-shaped bar at the top right corner while also updating the font style that is displayed over the top, which is a minor but impactful change.

Neat and Clean Settings UI:

The overall Settings UI is way better now, with a more neat and clean oval with clearer spacing between them that helps to distinguish among two sections without making it messy or less cluttered.

Redesigned app icons:

Redesigned app icons are one of the major changes in the One UI 7 update. Apps including Bixby, Gallery, Samsung Internet, and Contacts have received major effects and changes, while others like Calculator, Clock, Modes and Routines, Messages, Notes, and Phone got some minor changes.

Revamped Camera Layout:

One UI 7 came up with a revamped camera layout, with the majority of the camera controls having been shifted to the bottom of the screen, making it easier to use the camera app one-handedly with more convenience. Alternatively, the camera modes have been revamped to help users to easily identify the icons.

Raw Image Editor:

In the Gallery, Samsung has added a dedicated Raw Image Editor feature that allows users to control and edit their raw photos while adding or removing shadows and highlights before giving the picture a final editing touch.

Turn off the Auto Dim Screen feature:

The auto-dimming screen feature allows devices to dim the screen when the battery is below 5%. Now, One UI 7 brings the capability to turn the feature off so that your device will be at its full brightness.
