Samsung to Unveil ALoP Telephoto Sensor at CES 2025

Samsung is actively gearing up to introduce its next-generation smartphones, including the Galaxy S25 Slim. Before the launch of the Galaxy S25 Slim, the company is expected to unveil the ALoP telephoto sensor at the upcoming CES.
It was recently reported that the forthcoming Galaxy S25 Slim could be the first phone to feature an ALoP camera sensor. In a recent interview, Samsung’s task leader, Younggyu Jeong, and staff engineer Minook Kim revealed that the company looks forward to unveiling the ALoP telephoto sensor at the upcoming CES.
It revealed that placing lenses at the top of the prism will reduce the size of telephoto camera modules and help them to become slimmer and more compact. The added performance enhancer is an extra advantage. This new integration will add an extra layer of enhancement to the capturing experience as it will deliver brighter, clearer images, even in low light.
This innovation will also permit larger lenses, upgrading zoom and image quality without adding thickness to the device. The launch of the Galaxy S25 Slim has yet to be officially confirmed; it’s unclear whether Samsung will debut it along with the standard variants of the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
