Samsung is looking forward to introducing a new technology that minimizes speaker noise caused by electromagnetic interference from another component in the device.
The Korean tech giant has filed a patent for a new design of smart glasses that includes an advanced speaker design. This newly filed patent is dedicated to reducing the noise caused by electromagnetic interference that affects the sound quality.
A new report from 91Mobiles revealed that Samsung has filed a new patent for smart glasses’ new design that includes upgraded and more advanced speaker design. This new patent dedicatedly aims to enhance sound quality by minimizing noise caused by electromagnetic interference.
This is achieved by strategically placing the power line to reduce interference from other components. The glasses feature high-end speakers, a battery, display modules, and multiple sensors; for instance, touch and pressure sensors, enabling users to listen to music, watch videos, and make calls.
The patent showcases the overall design of the smart glasses, which seems to have two oval-shaped lenses on the front and dual arms to accommodate sensors and other components. Although, for now, the device is in the patent phase, the design hints that the company is planning to explore compact and functional wearable technology.
Initially, earlier this year, Samsung already filed a patent for its smart glasses with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Apart from this new smart glasses patent, Samsung is also rumored to debut AI-powered XR smart glasses next year at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on 22 January alongside the Galaxy S25 series.
