Samsung to launch Android-based smart glasses later this year

Samsung is gearing up to introduce new Android-powered smart wearable glasses to the market soon to raise the competition.
The Korean tech giant is already anticipated to launch its first Android XR headsets, Project Moohan second of this year. Meanwhile, the company is rumored to bring new Android-powered smart glasses anytime soon.
According to a report from ETNews, Samsung is working on releasing its Android XR glasses this year which are reportedly codenamed “Haean” and currently finalizing its specifications and features.
The company’s key focus for the coming smart glasses is to optimize the comfort of the glasses by tailoring them to fit different face shapes. The glasses are also expected to have multiple cameras and sensors for tracking movement. It could feature a 12MP camera and a 155mAh battery, however, the final specifications have yet to be revealed.
Reportedly, the firm might launch both the Haean smart glasses and the Project Moohan headset together later this year. Previously, Qualcomm also teased that Samsung would use Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 chip to power its glasses, it is the same processor used in the Moohan headset.
However, Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding this report, so it remains to see whether it will launch both devices together or separately.
