Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 expected to stay familiar

Samsung is supposed to debut its seventh-generation foldable phone this year (2025), named the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, but is planning to offer a major innovative upgrade in 2026 to its foldable. This means that this year there’s no potential to see major upgrades in foldables.
According to the new report from TheElec, the Korean tech giant is planning to introduce more innovative upgrades in 2026, maybe with foldable phones. If this report comes true, it seems that the coming foldable phone this year could not bring massive upgrades. A reason behind this could be the arrival of two additional foldable models.
Previously, Samsung used to debut two foldable smartphones in a year, a Fold and a Flip, but recently, last year, it launched more than two foldable phones. For this year, again it is planning to introduce a bunch of foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip FE, and second-generation Galaxy Z Fold SE.
It’s expected that with no major upgrades, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 may retain most of the hardware aspects of their predecessors. On the side, the upcoming Galaxy S25 series will use the Snapdragon Elite chipset which is also expected to power the next Fold phones.
Presently, Samsung is looking forward to using Exynos 2500 for Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Exynos 2400 for Galaxy Z Flip FE to maintain costs and revive the Foundry business.
