The Consumer Electronics Show 2025 (CES) is about to start from 7 to 10 January in Las Vegas, at which Samsung will showcase its brand new, massive 18.1-inch foldable OLED display.

Samsung Display has a bunch of advanced display technology to showcase at CES 2025, including an 18.1-inch foldable display. Recently it has already unveiled an AI-powered monitor lineup to showcase at the CES 2025

Now the company unveiled the world’s largest foldable OLED display, which measures 13.1 inches while folded and 18.1 inches when unfolded. Noticeably, Samsung is expanding the larger foldable panel lineup, which it had started by introducing the 17.3-inch foldable OLED panel back in 2022.

The latest 18.1-inch foldable OLED display is based on its predecessor’s concept; for instance, while unfolded, the panel functions as a large tablet or monitor, whereas when folded, it transforms into a laptop with a touchscreen keyboard.

However, Samsung hasn’t debuted any commercial product with the 17.3-inch foldable OLED panel and is also expected not to launch any device with the latest 18.1-inch panel. But the company supplies displays to other laptop manufacturers, such as ASUS and Lenovo, which are expected to adopt Samsung’s latest 18.1-inch foldable OLED panel in the future.

Foldable screen laptops are unreasonably expensive and don’t even deliver enough use cases to justify paying a premium over regular laptops.
