One UI 7.1 Pre-Installation on Galaxy S25 Series Seems Doubtful

Samsung is preparing itself to host the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event taking place on 22nd January, 2025, in San Jose, California. The keynote is expected to raise the curtains on the newest Galaxy S Series, the S25, alongside other products.

Since various rumors have ramped up online so far, depicting the upcoming S lineup smartphones for the audience, a new leak hints that the Galaxy S25 series will come pre-installed with One UI 7 version, not One UI 7.1.

Taking the reports of the tipster named Yawn into consideration, he claimed that Galaxy fans can’t expect that Samsung will release its next-generation lineup, the Galaxy S25 with One UI 7.1 version, which is going to be based on Android 15 OS. Simultaneously, he further stated that the upcoming Galaxy S series will be pre-installed with the One UI 7 build at the time of launch and will last for 1-2 months, at least before the company hints at any sign of the 7.1 version coming out publicly.

However, this sounds strange! Samsung has followed a simple rollout pattern for years, which states that each of its newest flagship lineups (the Galaxy S series) arrives with a One UI x.1 version, while the company continues with the One UI x.0 build for current Galaxy models. Thus, this probably clarifies that the company will continue with the One UI 7 beta followed by the stable one after a few days for the Galaxy S24 units, while the Galaxy S25 lineup will be launched with the stable One UI 7 skin.

Alternatively, this time, with Samsung being too late as per its usual rollout, the expectations of the Galaxy S25 series to come with the One UI 7.1 version on board are negligible, at least if Samsung has planned something different for its Galaxy audience.
