Samsung offers the S-Pen exclusively to its Galaxy S-lineup’s Ultra variant, and the next coming Ultra variant is the Galaxy S25 Ultra, whose S-Pen is rumored to drop Bluetooth support.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will include three variants: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The series will launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 January in San Jose, California.

The ultra variants of the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, will have a digital pen stylus (S-Pen) that lets you translate text, create animated messages, advance slides, and use a touchpad. According to Ishan Agarwal, the S-Pen on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will no longer feature Bluetooth.

If the report is to be believed, then Samsung could ditch the Bluetooth feature from the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S-Pen; this means that users will lose certain features such as gestures and remote controls. The tipster also mentioned that the S-Pen will make more than a 15-20 minute difference in terms of battery life even for those who usually use the S-Pen.

However, there’s no official word regarding this report, so it will be interesting to see whether this report will come true.
