Samsung One UI 8 Confirms Its Existence with Early Leak

Samsung has yet to release the stable Android 15 and has secretly started developing Android 16 (One UI 8), which seems a good sign.
Currently, Samsung is running the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series and is still working on releasing the stable version. The company has already released three One UI 7 betas and is expected to release the stable version on 22 January at the Galaxy Unpacked event with the Galaxy S25 series.

A new report suggests that before the stable Android 15 release, Samsung has already started testing Android 16, which could be a good sign for Galaxy users. A few latest Samsung applications reportedly included clues about the upcoming One UI version, the One UI 8.

It’s expected that the coming Android 16 will add support for Decal Shader to enhance the animation and transitions engine on Galaxy devices. With One UI 7, Samsung has already introduced impressive animation and new features to upgrade the overall system software, so it will be quite interesting to see if the future One UI 8 will bring new changes. Google has already disclosed the office timeline for Android 16, according to which it will start distribution from Q2.
The internal testing for Android 16 indicates that Samsung could release the update soon as compared to Android 15.
