The Samsung Galaxy S25 will debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event in just a week, and it is anticipated to use the faster LPDDR5X RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is already highly anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Previously it was reported that the forthcoming flagship series (Galaxy S25) is expected to be the first flagship Galaxy series to use RAM from a different brand.

A new report from ETNews (via Jukanlosreve) revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite is all set to power the Galaxy S25 series with faster LPDDR5X RAM and Fastprint HDI boards. Samsung has also reduced the participation of Korean vendors in several aspects.

The company is going for Qualcomm to use its TSMC-made Snapdragon 8 Elite to power the Galaxy S25 series worldwide. Secondly, it is planning to go with Micron as a primary memory chip supplier as it is providing most of the initial LPDDR5X DRAM instead of its in-house chips due to heat issues in the updated 13nm to 12nm manufacturing process. Apart from these two brands, Samsung is also collaborating with Fastprint, which will supply high-density interconnect (HDI) boards for the initial batch, estimated at 10 million units.

Samsung is all set to shift from using its in-house Exynos chipset to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, a memory chipset from Micron for memory and a Chinese company for key components, which raises concerns about the declining competitiveness of Korean giant-made parts in the tech market.
