Galaxy Foldables’s One UI 6.1.1-based 2nd January update is live in South Korea

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have started receiving a second One UI 6.1.1-based January 2025 security update in South Korea. 

Although the company has already pushed the January patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 two weeks ago, and now it’s strange that the 6th gen foldables are getting the same software patch, while also making it possible that the company may push forward One UI 7 rollout, indicating more delay. 

The second One UI 6.1.1-based January 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 can be recognized with the F956NKSS2AYA3 and F741NKSS2AYA3 version numbers. 

Well, this fresh update; however, doesn’t list any major features and changes, but it significantly caters to deliver the most advanced security by integrating various security vulnerabilities addressed by both Google and Samsung collectively. Thus, this helps to deliver a more safe and secure experience, while also protecting user’s device against external threats and harms.

Apart from this, the new update further meant to add stability and reliability to the overall system behaviour, brings various performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches and delivers much improved features to the users which in turn provides a smooth, better, stable and optimized Galaxy device’s experience.

Meanwhile, the second January patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 is currently going live in South Korea, while it will be forwarded to more eligible regions shortly. Thus users can download the latest version on their devices when available.
