Galaxy S26 Ultra Rumored to Feature a 200MP Telephoto Camera

Samsung is supposed to debut the Galaxy S26 in early 2026, and the Ultra variant of the series is anticipated to bring a massive upgrade in the camera setup by including a 200MP telephoto lens.

Currently, Samsung is a few hours away from officially launching the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Ultra variant, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, is rumored to feature a quad-camera setup, including a 200MP wide, a 10MP telephoto, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. This time the company has upgraded an ultrawide lens from a 12MP to a 50MP lens.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Telephoto Camera Could Have 200MP Lens

Meanwhile, a reliable source, Digital Chat Station (via Jukanlosreve), claimed that Samsung is looking forward to offering a massive camera upgrade with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Reportedly, the future Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a 200MP telephoto camera and a 1/1.5-inch large sensor, which seems a massive upgrade.

Samsung usually offered a 10MP telephoto lens to its high-end Galaxy devices, so jumping directly to a 200MP configuration is a massive upgrade. However, for now, there are no official words regarding this report, so we can’t trust blindly.

Recently, it was reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature 65W charging support and a more power-efficient & brighter display. It’s expected that the company could power the Galaxy S26 series with an in-house Exynos 2600 chipset.
