Samsung is working on its mid-range smartphone Galaxy A56 to debut by the end of the first quarter, and it could run Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.

Recently Samsung launched its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S25, at the Unpacked event based on Android 15-based One UI 7. It is the first device to get stable One UI 7 out of the box. Now the company is looking forward to launching new mid-range smartphones anytime soon.

The Korean tech giant is working on a few smartphones under the Galaxy A-series, including the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. A new report suggests that the Galaxy A56 will run Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box, and if this comes true, then it could be the first mid-range device to run the latest software update out of the box.

The device is spotted on FCC certification with the dedicated model number SM-A566E, and one of the certification documents contains a screenshot from the phone’s status information screen.

The screenshot contains the new battery icon at the top-right corner of the screen from One UI 7, which confirms that the Galaxy A56 will come with Android 15 and Samsung’s latest software skin. Previously, the device was spotted on Geekbench, which also revealed that it runs on Android 15.

The device is also expected to support 45W wired charging support, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G connectivity. It remains to see whether all of these expectations will come into existence.
