Samsung is soon going to globally hit its next-generation smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, to the retail stores, which is currently in the pre-order stage. As the excitement for the upcoming phones goes higher, the company seems to be updating its Galaxy devices with the January 2025 security patch speedily.

Meanwhile, right after covering the flagships, Samsung has now shifted its focus on the Galaxy A series models, as the Galaxy A23, A32 and A35 units have started getting the January security update in the US.

Specifically, the January 2025 security update for the Galaxy A23 is only available for the carrier-locked smartphones and can be identified with the A236USQS9EYA1 version number, while the unlocked units will receive the update soon.

Alternatively, the Galaxy A32 and Galaxy A35 smartphones are also receiving the same update for both the carrier-locked and unlocked devices, where the locked Galaxy A32 units come with the A326USQSHDXL1 and the unlocked models carry the A326U1UESHDXL1 version number.

At the same time, the Galaxy A35 models (carrier-locked ones) have the A356USQS4AYA5, while the unlocked units hold the A356U1UES4AYA1 version.

Meanwhile, as per the details shared, the January 2025 security patch, however, doesn’t mention any major features and changes, but it significantly focuses on improving the device’s security by integrating various fixes brought by both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities in order to offer a more safe and secure experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.

Apart from this, the update further adds stability to the system behaviour, while also bringing performance optimizations to ensure a more stable, smooth and efficient performance and functionality.
