These One UI 7’s Galaxy AI Features May Be Free—No Subscription Needed

Samsung introduced its Galaxy AI suite last year, full of AI-powered tools that are announced to go on paid service in the future. Now a few Galaxy AI features are listed to remain free, and the Gemini Advanced features will be paid.

Samsung announced that until 2025, Galaxy AI features will be available for free, and it will introduce a paid service for using the AI features on Galaxy devices. Recently, with the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung added more features under the Galaxy AI suite and also integrated Gemini Advanced features. 

Some Galaxy AI Features in One UI 7 Won’t Require a Subscription

PandaFlash, on X shared a text post claiming that most of the Galaxy AI features, including Photo Assist, AI Instant Slow-mo, Writing Tools, etc., will be free. He also mentioned that Gemini Advanced features will be paid. However, there’s no official confirmation regarding this, so it remains to see exactly what will happen next.

It could be possible for Samsung to ask to pay for a few Galaxy AI features based on the cloud server, which needs the internet to perform. The company has already confirmed that the AI feature will use the internet to process data; for instance, call summary, read-aloud, and writing assistance.
