Galaxy S23 Users in the USA Start Receiving February 2025 Update

With the One UI 7 rollout currently being the headlines, a large part has been dominated by the newly-released Beta 4 that’s now available for the Galaxy S24 series owners in all the eligible regions. Simultaneously, Samsung is also focusing on delivering the February 2025 security update to the Galaxy devices, and thus, the 2023 flagships have started getting the patch in the USA.

Carrier-locked Galaxy S23 Series Gets February 2025 Security Update in the USA

Samsung’s February 2025 security update rollout is currently underway and has been spotted for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra which is available for the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, MetroPCS, USCellular, Spectrum mobile, and Dish Wireless) units in the US, at least for now.

The update for all three models is recognized with the S911USQU5CYB1S916USQU5CYB1, and S918USQU5CYB1 build numbers.

Although like any other security patch, the February update is no different, as it; however, doesn’t introduces any major features and changes, but it is crucial for helping the device run smoothly by integrating a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been brought up by both Google and Samsung collectively which were present in the previous version, while also protecting the device against potential threats.

Alternatively, the update further adds stability to the overall system behavior and performance by bringing several performance optimizations in order to offer a smooth and stable device functionality.

Moreover, Samsung is currently pushing the February patch for the carrier-locked Galaxy S23 series and it will gradually reach the carrier-unlocked devices and other eligible regions shortly.
