Samsung notifies again about merging of Samsung Pass into Wallet

Samsung is rolling out fresh notifications to users to remind them regarding the migration of its Samsung Pass service to Samsung Wallet.

According to the report, the Korean tech giant began the merger a long time ago, although, not everyone might be aware of it. Now to deal with this the company strategized to send fresh notifications as several users have confirmed receiving notifications through email that mention the migration news for customers using Samsung Pass.

Initially, Samsung Pass was just a password manager, but it eventually evolved to save payment cards and other data, and the company dedicated to merging Samsung Pass with Samsung Pay to create one app called Wallet to clean up its ecosystem.

The official notification mentions that the autofill services from Pass can now be used in Wallet via Quick Access and the Pass app icon will disappear once you migrate, however, the data from Pass will be available in Wallet.

This migration will transfer all Pass data such as autofill services, to Wallet’s Quick Access feature, while the icon will no longer be there, users will be able to “add a Samsung Pass entry point through the “Shortcut” feature provided in Samsung Wallet.”

Back in 2022, the company launched the Samsung Wallet and now it encompasses all Pass functionalities and offers additional features; for instance, digital assets and key support. Fortunately, users gain Wallet’s expanded features without losing any Pass data.
