Google could use Samsung’s camera sensor for its Pixel 10

Samsung could provide its ISOCELL camera sensors to Google’s next-generation Pixel 10 series, which is anticipated to launch this year.
Google usually uses several Samsung components for its Pixel smartphones, such as display panels, camera sensors, and modems, for a few years. Now, it is looking forward to launching the Pixel 10 series, which will feature ISOCELL camera sensors.
A new report from Android Authority states that Google plans to avoid the use of Samsung’s modem and chipset manufacturing for the Pixel 10 series, but it will continue with ISOCELL camera sensors.
The report suggests that Google is upgrading from the Pixel 9’s dual-camera setup to a triple-camera setup on the Pixel 10. The forthcoming Google’s flagship smartphone will use three Samsung ISOCELL sensors, which are as follows –
- A 50MP ISOCELL GN8 primary rear camera
- A 11MP ISOCELL 3J1 telephoto camera
- A 11MP ISOCELL 3J1 front-facing camera
Noticeably, Google, with the coming Pixel 10, is offering a dedicated telephoto sensor, downgrading the primary camera, and using a 1/1.95-inch sensor to exchange the Pixel 9’s 1/1.31-inch ISOCELL GNV primary camera. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will have a single Samsung camera sensor 50MP ISOCELL GNV as a primary rear-facing camera, whereas the rest of the ultrawide, telephoto, and selfie cameras reportedly use the 48MP Sony IMX858 camera sensor.
