Samsung surprises Galaxy watch 7 and watch Ultra owners by pushing major update

Samsung Galaxy users are currently focusing on the One UI 7 stable rollout, as the company has started expanding it to more countries for Galaxy S24 users. Now, surprisingly, the company is also sending a huge software update for its latest smartwatches, including Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra.

Galaxy watch 7 and watch Ultra gets massive 900 MB update

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra were spotted getting new software updates with the firmware version number L310XXU1AYCD and L705NKOU1AYCD, respectively. With the latest update, the company doesn’t bring any significant changes to the devices. As per the changelog, there are no specified changes defined. However, the update is coming with the latest security patch, March 2025

As the update is coming in 900 MB, there may be some enhancements done under the watch’s different functionalities to improve the overall performance and stability of the devices.

How to install

To download the latest update on your watch, you just need to follow the below steps:

Update via phone

  1. Open the Galaxy wearable on your connected smartphone
  2. Then, navigate to the watch settings
  3. Now tap on the watch software update
  4. Here, tap on the Download and install option
  5. Now it will start downloading and installed automatically.

Update directly from watch

  1. On your Galaxy watch 7 or watch ultra open settings application
  2. Now select General
  3. Here tap on update watch software
  4. Now tap on Download and follow the prompts 
  5. Once finished it will start downloading and install the update automatically.
