Samsung Galaxy Watches to Get Gemini Assistant Soon

Samsung Galaxy Watch users, get ready to try Gemini instead of Google Assistant directly from your wrists without requiring phones.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy Watch would get Gemini integration as a replacement for the aging Google Assistant. Google has already replaced Google Assistant with Gemini on its smartphones and tablets, and now it is looking forward to bringing this replacement to Wear OS smartwatches and Nest speakers. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Watches based on Wear OS will also get a smarter AI assistant in the form of Gemini AI.
Previously, Google confirmed that it would replace Google Assistant with Gemini on Wear OS-based smartwatches, but it didn’t reveal the exact timeline for this upgrade. Now, a new report from one of our reliable colleagues, 9to5Google, reported that Google is gearing up for this new interaction, as the latest version of the Google Assistant app for Wear OS has mentioned Gemini in its code strings.
Reportedly, the latest version, 1.18.x, of the Assistant app for Wear OS devices was decompiled to uncover the following code strings that mention Gemini. Users can easily access Gemini on their Galaxy Watches by holding the side button or saying the “Okay Google” hotword when the smartwatch is fully awake.
Gemini on Galaxy watches allows users to set alarms and timers and send messages, similar to Google Assistant. Since the official details regarding this have yet to be released, it will be interesting to see what new novelties this new integration will bring.
