Samsung’s One UI 7 stable update will be headed to all the eligible Galaxy devices gradually with time. Indeed several among them will receive their last major OS update in the form of One UI 7 with Android 15 on top, with one being the Galaxy S21 series. But what about its stable rollout track and when?
Basically, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra models came back with One UI 3-based Android 11 and are bound to receive Four major OS updates and 5 years of security patches due to the upgraded software update policy.
The One UI 7 stable rollout began from April 7 but halted for some time; it seems to have resumed now for S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. But what about the Galaxy S21 devices?
With One UI 7 being its last (Fourth) major OS update, Samsung seems to be very uncertain regarding the exact date-wise timeline but as usual, the rollout will happen in certain batches, while the Galaxy S21 lineup is scheduled for sometime around May, 2025, according to the previous timeline.
At the same time, the fourth model of the Galaxy S21 series, the S21 FE will also receive One UI 7 update in May, but this model already has an additional major OS update in store. Additionally, One UI 7 is all about new features and upgrades; thus, the Galaxy S21 series is expected to receive all the new Galaxy AI features, at least, alongside more relevant yet key improvements and enhancements.
