Samsung shares precautions for Home Screen errors taken before upgrading tablets to One UI 7

Samsung’s One UI 7 update happened to be a long-extended process. Although the update has arrived on plenty of Galaxy phones and tablets in more regions, there is still a long way to go. In the meantime, as the update gradually reaches more flagship tablets in different countries, the company has shared a notice for taking certain measures before upgrading the devices to One UI 7.

Well, the company has started the process of expanding the stable update for its flagship tablets, including the Tab S10 Series and Tab S9 series in various regions; it even took it to the Good Lock Terrace page in order to follow some key precautions for Home Screen Errors before upgrading their tablets to the One UI 7 version.

One UI 7 steps for Home Screen Errors

Basically, the notice is shared by the Good Lock Home Up Development Team, while also informing that Galaxy tablets owners should take up all these essential precautionary measures beforehand, if you are using these functionalities as listed below:

  • If your Home screen layout has a longer vertical arrangement rather than using 5 x 7 horizontal grid placement via Home Up’s Apps Screen Layout option
  • And if your widget fills the entire vertical space and has a 3 x 7 alignment

Then you need to choose one of the following two precautions before upgrading to One UI 7:

  • Either, change the Home screen layout to longer in the horizontal manner (from 5 x 7 grid placement to 7 x 5 grid alignment) in One UI 6
  • Or, you can remove widgets that are filling the vertical space.

At the same time, it’s important to note that if you proceed by upgrading to One UI 7 without taking any precautions mentioned above, you may continue to receive errors in your Galaxy tablet’s Home screen.
