Samsung to bring Galaxy Watch Classic again a year after: Report

Samsung is supposed to debut the eighth-generation smartwatches this year, the Galaxy Watch 8 series, which is anticipated to include the Classic model again.

The Korean tech giant follows a ritual, introducing the ‘Classic’ model to its even digit Galaxy Watch series; for instance, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The odd digit series includes different models, such as the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and Galaxy Watch Ultra.

Now the company is looking forward to debuting the next-generation smartwatches, an even digit series; the Galaxy Watch 8 series. According to a new report, the coming series will again include a Classic model.

Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic Bluetooth SIG listing

A new report from xpertpick revealed that the new models have appeared at the Bluetooth SIG with the dedicated model number SM-L505U, which hints at a Galaxy Watch Classic again. This means that there will be a Galaxy Watch 8 Classic again this year, after there was no Galaxy Watch 7 Classic last year.

Currently, it’s not exactly clear whether the firm will update the Ultra model after just one year or it will pursue a two-year strategy. But it’s highly anticipated that Samsung will offer a Classic version, which will feature a rotating bezel as a special feature this time around, too.

Since Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding its upcoming smartwatch series, it remains to be seen whether the lineup will include the Galaxy Watch Classic model.
