Galaxy Z Fold 7 Not Unfolding Flat? Here’s the Reason

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is perfectly fine as it has no hardware defect that was creating a buzz. Let’s take a closer look at the new report revealing the reason behind the unfolding issue of this newly launched foldable.

It’s been two weeks, Samsung debuted its brand new foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has already set a new pre-order benchmark by breaking the previous records. The device features an ultra-slim design, a smarter camera, a more advanced AI tool, and more capabilities that a flagship-level phone should have.

Recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been reported as the world’s thinnest foldable phone yet, with a measurement of 8.82mm when folded. The device is now available for open sale worldwide, so interested customers can buy it from any nearby retail shops.

Previously, a few reports have come into existence, spreading the concern regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 hinge issue, which was preventing the foldable from completely unfolding. However, it is not the case anymore, since a new report from Phone Arena revealed that Tipster Setsuna Digital claimed there’s nothing wrong with either the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or its hinge.

Reportedly, the foldable phones have an adhesive that coats their main display, and technically, when any new fold or flip remains folded for a long time, the screen needs a bit more time to unfold flat as the adhesive gradually recovers to stretch to its complete expanded state.

According to the tipster, unfolding the device with slight pressure would bring it to its usual angle range of 178.5 to 181.5 degrees.

The reason behind the store demo units being accused of having a hinge and unfolding issue is that those were kept packed in their boxes, and putting them on shelves didn’t allow the adhesive to stretch completely, which is crucial for the phone to be durable
