Samsung has started focusing on delivering the latest August 2025 security update for its Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, alongside the Galaxy S24 series, have been receiving the update.
First up, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra units are getting a new software update, while unfortunately the newest update only consists of the normal monthly security update for August 2025. More specifically, the update for the flagships has been identified with the version numbers S92*NKSS9BYG8 and S92*BXXS4BYH1.

At the same time, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models are also receiving the same update and come with the build numbers F956NKSS2BYGB and F741NKSS2BYGB, respectively.

It’s important to note that the August 2025 security update for the Galaxy S24 series is currently available in India and Samsung’s home country, South Korea, while the folding phones are getting the update in South Korea.
Meanwhile, as usual, Samsung monthly security updates are only meant to increase system security and functionality. Similarly, the latest security update also provides a more secure user experience and protects the device against sophisticated threats. And add stability to the entire system behavior that eventually leads to a smooth and stable user experience.
Well, Samsung has announced the beginning of the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, starting from August 11th, which will be live in some major selective countries, including the US, South Korea, the UK, and Germany. But currently, the company has started providing the August patch without a beta update.
