Samsung is currently continuing with the ongoing August 2025 security update for all of its eligible Galaxy devices, from its major flagships to foldables to mid-tier category models. Meanwhile, Galaxy A73 5G owners can rejoice as they are already getting a new software update after a long time.
Basically, the Galaxy A73 received its last software update as One UI 7 stable a long time ago in May 2025, and now, Samsung Galaxy A73 models are receiving their first update in the form of the August 2025 security patch right after One UI 7 stable. Specifically, the update has been spotted in Asia, particularly in Malaysia, and is expected to reach more eligible countries over the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the latest firmware for the Galaxy A73 has been recognized with the version number A736BXXSAFYH2 and is a minor security patch that, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes; rather, it primarily focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality to provide a more secure user experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.
At the same time, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior to offer an efficient functionality and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually lead to a smoother and more stable experience.
Well, besides this, Samsung is currently focusing on expanding its Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program to even more eligible Galaxy devices, with the Galaxy S24 series alongside Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 owners already testing the beta version. At the same time, the S25 family has recently received One UI 8 beta 5, while the stable release is scheduled for the next month.
