One UI 8 Beta 6 Changelog: Everything Added in Latest Build

Samsung’s progress with its next-generation OS, One UI 8, which is powered by Android 16, looks promising, while the company has delivered a total of six beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series. Now, here’s what’s new in the Galaxy S25’s One UI 8 beta 6 changelog.

To recall, the journey of One UI 8 has been incredible so far, with Samsung already putting various efforts into refining the user’s overall experience and optimizing certain features.

Right after Google dropped stable Android 16, Samsung also started developing One UI 8 for its Galaxy devices via internal testing for some, while beginning beta phases for the Galaxy S25 family and expanding the One UI 8 beta program for the S24 series alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models.

Since Samsung has delivered five beta builds so far, the Galaxy S25 series owners have just started receiving the One UI 8 Beta 6 update in a few selective countries. At the same time, Samsung’s One UI beta program is the perfect opportunity to test out several new and enhanced features ahead of the official release; meanwhile, according to the changelog, the One UI 8 Beta 6 build for Galaxy S25 features a lot of bug fixes and other improvements.

More specifically, the update adds fixes for the issue where only icons are displayed on the lock screen when a notification pops up, fixes the issue where the logo of Naver Sports is being cut in the Now Bar, fixes an issue where basic fonts are applied even after changing fonts, fixes an issue where rebooting the device apparently disables the keyboard phrase recommendation feature, modifies the personal data intelligence widget, fixes a glitch where the phone’s screen stops and the lock screen is displayed when using any app, and lastly, fixes an error where the clock widget is not displaying time.

Now, here’s a quick look at the details of Galaxy S25’s One UI 8 Beta 6 Changelog:

  • Bugs that have been fixed
    • Applied September security patch
    • Fixed the issue where only icons are displayed on the lock screen when notifications are
      received
    • Fixed logo cutting issue in Naver Sports Top Now bar
    • Fixed the issue of disabling the keyboard phrase recommendation function setting when rebooting the device
    • Fixed the errors that apply basic fonts after changing fonts
    • Modified the character truncation issue in personal data intelligence widget
    • Fixed the issue where the screen stops and the lock screen is displayed while using the app
    • Fixed clock widget time display error

In addition, it is important to note that the newest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta 6 build significantly integrates the September security patch for additional security, as it strengthens overall security and core functionality, which eventually provides a more secure user experience, applies stability, and protects the device against potential threats.

Well, the stable One UI 8 version rollout is set to begin next month, starting with the Galaxy S25 series, and will be followed by more Galaxy devices sequentially over the coming months.
