Samsung Considers Adding a Plus Variant to the Upcoming Galaxy S26 Lineup

Samsung’s moves are just unpredictable, as it has now been rumored to be considering developing the Plus model for the Galaxy S26 lineup.

Samsung usually introduces three models under its S-series, including the Base, Plus, and Ultra; however, to date, it was expected that it would not be the case with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. As previously leaked reports have almost confirmed that Samsung ditched the Plus model from the Galaxy S26 lineup and will replace it with Edge.

The reason behind ditching the Plus model from the upcoming lineup was reported to be the lower sales rate compared to the Base and Ultra models.

Now, a new leak has come up with a surprising fact against all previous reports. A reliable Korean blog, TheElec, reports that Samsung has just started working on a new device internally called “M Plus,” which is supposed to be the Galaxy S26 Plus, as the Galaxy S26 Pro is coded as M1, the Galaxy S26 Edge is M2, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is M3.

If the report is to be believed, then the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will include four models, as mentioned below:

Currently, it is unclear whether the company will use the same approach as the Galaxy S25 series for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, launching the base, plus, and ultra models initially, and later the edge one. However, the report is not from any official source; it remains to be seen what will happen next.
