Basically, Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4, which significantly brings the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 version, in particular, and is currently available on the Verizon carrier in the US. It’s expected to expand to more countries in the coming weeks.

At the same time, the newest firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 carries version number F936USQU8IYIF, while the update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been identified with the version number F721USQU8IYIF.

More specifically, Samsung’s One UI 8 is topped up with Android 16, and thus, brings various new UI elements with vibrant colors, improved widgets, and layouts that apparently take the user experience to the next level.

The update also adds new and improved Galaxy AI features like Gemini, Best face, Adaptive Lock screen Clock, Call Captions, and more; camera, multitasking, and overall performance, while also bringing several upgrades and improvements to the overall UI, productivity, security & privacy, and accessibility.

Other than that, the update further comes with the October 2025 security patch, which significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security, functionality, and efficiency in order to provide a smooth and optimized experience for the users.

Well, the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 is now available in the US. However, Samsung is pulling the One UI 8 update for various devices; hopefully, this should not happen with Samsung’s 4th-generation foldables.
