Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold’s thickness could be close to its rival

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold tomorrow at the APEC 2025 summit, and right ahead of the launch, a report reveals the thickness of the device.

It has been known for a long time that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold by the end of this year; however, the most recent report suggests that the device will be unveiled at the APEC 2025 summit, which will take place from October 31 to November 1, in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

Meanwhile, a new report from Korea Economic Daily reveals that the upcoming Galaxy Tri-Fold will measure 4.2mm in thickness while unfolded, and 12mm to 15mm when closed. However, the report hasn’t confirmed the exact thickness measurement of the device when it is closed.

On the comparison side, Huawei is the only brand in the foldable market that has introduced a tri-folding device yet, called Mate XT Ultimate, which measures 4.8mm in thickness when unfolded and 12.8mm when folded. If the report comes true, then the difference might be barely noticeable, but it still counts.

Recently, Google also mistakenly hinted that the Galaxy Tri-Fold is all set to launch soon. The first look at the device has already surfaced online, which revealed that it can transform a 6.5-inch display phone into a tablet with a 10-inch display, and has two hinges, and you can fold and unfold it seamlessly.
