Samsung is working on its next flagship in-house Exynos 2600 SoC, which is reported to feature in the Galaxy S26 series, in parallel with Qualcomm chipset, with an estimated 3:1 ratio across the entire series.
The Korean tech giant has been working on its upcoming Exynos 2600 SoC for so long. Multiple times, the chipset has already been listed on the Geekbench database, which revealed different scores with each listing.
Last time, when the Exynos 2600 appeared on the Geekbench database, its score was surprisingly equivalent to the Apple M5 scores. Recently, it was reported that Samsung will power the Galaxy S26 series, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra, with the Exynos 2600 in most markets; however, that’s not the case, since another report confirmed that the Ultra variant of the lineup will be equipped Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally.
Meanwhile, a new report from ZDNet Korea has now revealed that the company will once again adopt a “two-processor” strategy; however, the preference will go for Qualcomm. According to the report, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be used for Galaxy S26 Ultra globally, while for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra in major regions, such as the US and Europe.
Samsung will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for 75% of Galaxy S26 devices, and the rest of 25% will be equipped with the Exynos 2600 chipset. Reportedly, the ratio is equivalent to nearly three Snapdragon devices for every 1 Exynos device.
To date, dozens of leaks and reports regarding the Galaxy S26 series’ processor have surfaced online, but the official confirmation has yet to be released.
