Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is already in the making; it’s key upgrades revealed

Samsung is supposed to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 somewhere around next year alongside its sibling models, which is expected to feature a more optimized internal architecture.

​The Korean tech giant has set a ritual of launching at least two latest flagship foldable phones each year in the second half of the year at the Galaxy Unpacked event. For instance, last year it launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6, and this year introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7. Following this ritual, it is supposed to debut the Galaxy Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 in 2026.

​A well-known tipster, @kro_roe, shared a post on X, claiming that the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature a more optimized internal architecture, which means that the company will ensure better use of internal space by the components of free up enough space for a larger battery and faster charging.

​Apart from this, the tipster also mentioned that the device will have 45W charging support; however, he hasn’t revealed the specific battery capacity of the device. Although Samsung has been offering a 4,400mAh battery for years to its Galaxy Z Fold models, in case it is considering a battery upgrade for the coming foldable, it may offer a 5,000mAh battery.

​A few weeks ago, it was also reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could arrive with a battery upgrade. According to previous reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 might feature a familiar carbon fiber backplate, a crease-free foldable screen, and could cost $200 less than Apple’s first foldable iPhone, and more.
