Samsung is rolling out the February 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S24 FE, and the timing is a little unexpected. The update, currently live in Korea with firmware version S721NKSSACZB2, addresses 37 security vulnerabilities found in the previous OS build.
What makes this rollout worth noting is the order. Samsung typically sends security updates to the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra before the Fan Edition gets its turn. This time, that sequence got flipped. The S24 FE is receiving the patch while the standard S24 lineup is still waiting.
Samsung gave the Galaxy S25 series first access to the February patch, which is standard practice for its latest flagships. The S24 FE moving ahead of the older core lineup, though, breaks from the usual pattern without any official explanation.
If you own a Galaxy S24 FE and want to grab the update now, head to Settings, tap Software Update, then hit Download and Install. Keep in mind the rollout is starting in Korea, so availability in other regions may lag by a few days.
There is also something larger on the horizon. Samsung is expected to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 alongside the Galaxy S26 series, with a broader rollout to follow. The Galaxy S24 FE is on the list of devices set to receive that update, so owners of that phone have more software news coming their way fairly soon.
