Firefly Wedding English Dub Premieres Today on Crunchyroll

Firefly Wedding’s English dub is here. Crunchyroll announced October 22, 2026, that the English dub for the historical romance anime will begin streaming October 23 today, two weeks after the series’ October 9 subtitled debut, with the full voice cast and crew revealed alongside the announcement.

The anime currently airs on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block every Friday at 11:30 p.m. JST, with Crunchyroll streaming new episodes as they air.

The English Dub Cast

Rowan Gilvie voices Satoko, with Kieran Flitton as Shinpei, the two leads at the center of the story. The rest of the confirmed cast includes:

• Jason Douglas as Mitsueda
• Ben Stegmair as Kotaro
• R Bruce Elliott as Jubei
• Jordan Colea as Miwako
• Chris Rager as Ozoe

Additional voices come from Weston Loy, James Marler, Nic Hamill, Marcus Rothenberg, Nasim Benelkour, Sambob Park, Adrian Godinez, Hollis Beck, and Taylor Murphy.

Caitlin Glass directs the dub, with Samantha Herek producing and Matthew Greenbaum handling the adaptation. Macy Anne Johnson serves as adaptation supervisor, and studio producers Justin Cook, Michael Harcourt, and Nathanael Harrison round out the production team.

A Quick Turnaround for a Dub

Getting an English cast in place just two weeks after a simulcast premiere is a notably fast turnaround for Crunchyroll, which often leaves dub timing unconfirmed well into a season, as was the case for Firefly Wedding itself ahead of its October 9 debut. Once live, new dubbed episodes are set to release weekly on Fridays at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET on Crunchyroll, matching the pace of the subtitled release.

The original Japanese cast remains unchanged for the subtitled version, led by Lynn as Satoko Kirigaya and Kōki Uchiyama as Shinpei Gotō, with Kent Itō and Kenjirō Tsuda rounding out the main cast as Kōtarō Ogawa and Mitsueda.

Where the Story Stands

Firefly Wedding is based on Oreko Tachibana’s manga, which ran on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app from January 2023 to August 2026, concluding its main story shortly before the anime’s premiere. Shogakukan published the thirteenth and final compiled volume on October 19, giving manga readers a complete story to reference just as the anime adaptation gets underway. Viz Media publishes the series in English.

Takahiro Kamei directs the anime at David Production, with Yūko Kakihara handling series scripts, Yukiko Aikei designing the characters, and NOGRID composing the score. Iri performs the opening theme, “Period,” and TOOBOE performs the ending theme, “Yumegokochi” (Trance).
