Galaxy S23 get April 2023 patch with big camera update in Europe

Recently, South Korea has seen the launch of a highly anticipated update for Samsung’s new flagship devices, which aims to improve the photographic capabilities of these devices. Along with this update, users will also benefit from the latest Android security patches for the month of April 2023.

The latest update being referred to specifically upgrades the software of the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra to version S911BXXU1AWC8, S916BXXU1AWC8, and S918BXXU1AWC8, respectively. This update brings a significant improvement to the photographic sector, as well as enhances the overall performance of the smartphone. In addition, the update includes the latest Android April 2023 security patch, though Samsung has yet to disclose the specific vulnerabilities in its interface that have been addressed.

Samsung implemented several camera improvements as part of this update. For instance, autofocus improved, making it faster and more accurate. Additionally, the Gallery operations have been optimized, allowing for faster deletion of images that were just taken. Furthermore, the ultrawide camera has significantly improved sharpness when capturing videos in low-light conditions. The update also addresses the green line bug that affected some images. Finally, video stabilization has been improved in Full HD 60fps and low-light conditions, enhancing these devices’ overall video-capturing experience.

It is important to note that the update also addresses a couple of issues that some users had reported. Specifically, it fixes the image quality problems that occurred when the Night Mode was turned off and the Camera Assistant app was set to “Shooting Speed » High Resolution » Speed Priority.” Additionally, some users had reported issues with the camera not recognizing faces after ending a video call using third-party video calling apps.

  1. A function has been added to the gallery so that you can immediately delete photos that are being processed immediately after taking them with the camera.
  2. For faster photo taking, the AF concept has been changed so that when the user presses the shooting button, the user can take a photo even when the focus is not completely set.
    However, if you want to shoot after completing Focus as before, please change the settings in the latest Camera Assistant.

  3. Improved sharpness/flicker and added notice when shooting Ultrawide in low light indoors after setting Camera Video Mode > Super Steady On.

  5. Improved image stabilization when shooting with FHD60 after setting Auto FPS Off in rear video.
  6. Improved line-shaped banding noise in the sky in mid-low light when shooting high-pixel in low-mid light.
    Optimized overall sharpness for high-pixel shooting and improved intermittent blurring through OIS stabilization.
  7. Fixed a malfunction when shooting after Night Off in low light after selecting Shooting Speed ​​> High Resolution > Speed ​​Priority in Camera Assistant.

  8. Fixed an issue where face recognition could not be recognized intermittently after ending a 3rd party video call.

Samsung has rolled out the April 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series. It has already rolled out the update in several countries, mainly Europe and Latin America. Now the device is starting to get the update in the US.

Verizon Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus Receiving April 2024 Update in the USA

Notably, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are receiving the update on the Verizon network with the firmware version numbers T878USQS7DXD1 and T978USQS7DXD1, respectively. With the latest update, the device will have proper consistency in terms of performance and security.

For your information, the April 2024 update will bring you more than 40 fixes, of which Google has added 27 that enhance the Android OS functionalities. Along with this, Samsung has also added 17 more fixes that exclusively improve the functioning of the Galaxy devices.

Furthermore, the update could bring some new changes that internally improve the device’s functioning and provide enhancements for performance and stability. Surprisingly! One UI 6.1 update arrived for Galaxy A23 5G before flagships in the US

Earlier this month, Samsung officially announced that it will provide one UI 6.1 update to the 2022 flagship device in May. But now the company has surprisingly started rolling out the update to one of the midrange Galaxy A23 devices.

The Verizon network has spotted the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A23, with the firmware version number A236VSQU3CXD3. It has also brought the latest security update in the form of an April 2024 security patch. With the latest update, there are several new features introduced that will add some new features and enhancements.

In detail, the latest update for the Galaxy A23 5G introduces a new battery protection feature that allows users to manage the application’s battery charging to prevent battery damage. There are some new changes in the clock customization, gallery, and Samsung account sections. It is important to note that there is no AI feature arriving in this update.

The update will also enable call continuity, mid-conversation device switching, and seamless communication across any device, such as a Galaxy table, computer, or watch, all connected to the same Samsung account. A small but important addition is a new toggle in the mobile network that allows users to turn off 5G if they don’t need to connect to the update.

The latest update is coming with the firmware version number AP31.240322.027. The latest update is coming with the same April 2024 security patch that has already arrived with previous updates. To check for the new version, you just need to go to the system settings,  select software update, touch the system update, and tap the check for updates button. You may have to tap the button more than once to trigger the download, but if all this fails, then you can also manually install the update via official factory image files.
