AT&T Galaxy S22 getting June 2023 update in the US

Published

on

Samsung always struggles in the US as it can’t roll out the update according to its schedule because of carrier restrictions, and this is the reason why Galaxy device updates are delayed, and sometimes even the flagship devices get one month late updates. The Galaxy S22 users are also facing the same problem, half of the month is already passed, and now some carriers are rolling out the update for it, while the update was available in some countries a week ago.

The June 2023 security update is now available for the Galaxy S22 series on the AT&T Carrier. The update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra is rolling out with these firmware versions S901USQU2BVK1, S906USQU2BVK1 and S908USQU2BVK1, respectively.

Galaxy S22 series One UI 6.0 (Android 14) update tracker: Stable & Beta update

As per the latest official Samsung bulletin, the June 2023 patch includes over 60 vulnerability fixes found on devices. Of this total, most of the patches included by Google to remove bugs from Android OS and other fixes are included by Samsung that enhance the Galaxy device functioning.

Earlier, Samsung has also updated Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3Galaxy S21 FEGalaxy A53Galaxy Note 20 and many more. However, some of them then is for the unlocked variant, and others are locked variants.

The Galaxy S22 was introduced back in 2022. Samsung debuted these devices with Android 12 preinstalled; later, it received more major updates in the form of Android 13-based One UI 5.0 and One UI 5.1. The device comes on the market after the four Android version policy updates. It means the device will get three more Android updates in the future.

However, the company hasn’t brought the update for the FE edition of the devices at the time. Fortunately, Galaxy S21 FE users also get a taste of One UI 6.1 features in the US.

Carrier-Locked Galaxy S21 FE gets One UI 6.1 update in the US

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is spotted receiving the update for the locked version in the US. More specifically, the update arrives on some carriers, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, US Cellular, and Dish Wireless, with two different models with firmware version numbers G990USQUAGXDG and G990U2SQU8GXDE.

One UI 6.1 update without any Galaxy AI features

Samsung has brought the One 6.1 update with several features that offer customization related to the lock screen, alarm, calendar, and many more for the Galaxy S21 FE, but it hasn’t introduced the revolutionary innovations with the absence of Galaxy AI features, which has leveled up the user expertise in the field of providing convenience for the users. Even the Circle to Search feature available in the main Galaxy S21 series has not arrived for the fan edition.

Installation

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (locked) users in the US can now update the device to the latest version by following these steps: First, go to the settings, then tap on the software update menu. If it shows a new update available, tap on the download button. If the update hasn’t arrived on your device, don’t worry; it will be soon available for you.
