New firmware brings June 2023 patch for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 in the US

The latest update brings June 2023 security patch. Currently, it is rolling out in the US for both locked and unlocked variants. Users who own an unlocked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 can identify the latest update by these firmware version numbers F926U1UES3FWE1 and F711U1UES4FWE1. The update for the unlocked variant is available on almost all carriers.

Meanwhile, the locked variant of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are getting the update with these version numbers F926USQS3FWE5 and F711USQS4FWE5. The update is spotted on Two carriers, including MetroPCS and T-Mobile. As far as the update is concerned, it doesn’t include any new features, but it adds some new improvements to the security of the device.

Moreover, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are currently listed under monthly security updates, which means these devices will be eligible for at least one update per month. Additionally, with the new policy change, Samsung has expanded the eligibility of these devices for one year in terms of Android updates.
