Samsung Keyboard update fixes recognition errors

Published

on

In today’s social media world, every smartphone user prefers to communicate by texting instead of other means such as video or voice calling. So further development companies have tried to make the keyboard more useful and added more typo-friendly features that help users type accurately. From time to time, companies update their keyboards to add new features that suit the new trends.

Samsung is also one of the companies that has its own keyboard for its Galaxy devices. The Samsung Keyboard offers a lot of new features that allow users to do several things; however, the most special thing about the keyboard is its customizability and design, which are possible due to the One UI skin. It is also worth noticing that with the latest One UI 6 skin, Samsung has added a new emoji design to the keyboard. Now the company is enhancing its functionality for Android 14 and One UI 6 compatible devices.

Samsung fixes functioning errors in the keyboard for One UI 6 devices

Samsung has rolled out a new update for its stock keyboard app, which comes with a new version number of 5.8.00.40. With the latest update, the company has fixed the recognition error that is causing issues in specific areas. In other words, sometimes the keyboard is not opening at the time of tapping any text box in several applications. Due to this, users are not able to type anything in a particular space, which is now fixed. In addition to this, the update may also include some more improvements to the workings of the app.

The latest update of the Samsung keyboard is available on the Galaxy Store; it is compatible with only Galaxy devices; therefore, it is not available on the Google Play Store. If you are having any issues installing a new update from the Galaxy Store, you can also install it directly from the external source, APKMirror.

Google Messages Rolls Out Text Editing Feature For Beta Users

Published

Google is adding an extra layer of facility by offering a new feature, ‘text editing’, in its messaging app, Google Message.

Google is gearing up to send a text editing feature for Google Messages, which would permit you to edit any message even after sending it, but within the particular last few minutes. Initially, Google was spotted working on a message editing feature for Google Messages back in February, and finally, the feature has come into existence.

At the moment, Google is rolling out this feature only for beta users. This is being speculated by a post on X shared by a user, @Jhowkira2000 (via AssembleDebug on X), who stated that the messaging editing feature is already available for a short range of users.

But here’s the catch: you can only edit messages when you and your conversation partner have the feature. It is reported that the giant has set a 15-minute time limit, so if you want to edit a message after sending it, you have to edit it within 15 minutes; after that, you won’t be able to edit. Plus, anyone can see the original, unedited message in the message details. The conversation will display the edited message, giving it a cleaner view.

You can easily edit the message just by pressing long on the message you want to edit and then clicking on the pencil icon housed in the top toolbar. At the moment, the feature is in the beta stage, but it is expected that soon the brand will roll out the feature stably.
