Samsung has indirectly indicated about its approach for this year with its rapid rollout of the January 2024 security patch for Galaxy devices that it will be more active. It has served the update to almost every eligible Galaxy device in several countries and is now gradually expanding the update to the remaining units of the devices, like now the US-based units of the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy A53 are starting to get new updates.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy A53 are spotted getting January 2024 security updates on some carriers, including T-Mobile and MetroPCS. Users who own these devices can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G990USQS9FWL3 and A536USQS9DXA4, respectively. The latest update doesn’t bring any new features or innovations for the devices, but it does bring some new enhancements for the devices.
Going into details, the latest update brings a total of 80 fixes, which are addressed by Google and Samsung together. Of those, 75 are included by Google, which specifically address issues related to the Android OS. while five other patches are added by Samsung to enhance the security of the Galaxy devices.
