Samsung has already started preparing for the One UI 6.1 update internally, and before going to distribute it to the Galaxy devices, the company has decided to provide the February 2024 security patch update. This time, the company has provided the security patch update to several high-end devices, and now it has turned its focus to the midrange device as well as the Galaxy A53 devices.

According to the information, the Galaxy A53 has started getting the February 2024 security patch update in the US. More specifically, the carrier-locked variant of the device is getting a new update with firmware version number A536USQS9DXA9.

The February 2024 security update is one of the minor updates that only brings some general improvements that improve the overall security of the devices. With the latest update, there are 60+ security patches included, and from them, 61 security vulnerability issues are addressed by Google and 8 more fixes are done by Samsung for its Galaxy devices.

The main aim of providing a new security patch is to make the security mechanism more protected. Basically,  with the new security update, the device will get ready to address different types of malware.

The Galaxy A53 was launched back in 2022. The device was launched with Android 12 preinstalled, and later it grabbed two more major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14 sequentially. As Samsung has promised to give at least four major updates for the Galaxy A53 devices, the device is still eligible for two more major updates, which will be available in the next couple of years.

The Samsung Galaxy AI feature has brought a revolution to Galaxy devices. With its introduction, the company has been successful in creating a strong image of innovation, and we have also seen the results where it has achieved record sales of its latest flagship devices, i.e., the Galaxy S24 series. Then, to provide these features to the older devices, it has expanded the One UI 6.1 update for other devices; however, the company has only provided two features for the devices released back in 2021.

Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, Fold 3, and Flip 4 have Circle to Search and Chat Assistant AI Features of One UI 6.1

Samsung has recently introduced the One UI 6.1 for older devices, including the Galaxy S21 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. For these devices, the company has only introduced two Galaxy AI features in the form of Circle to Search and Chat Assistant.

Circle to search: The Circle to search feature allows users to instantly search for information about the images that appear on the screen with convenience. The circle-to-search works on the same principle as Google Lens, but to make it more appealing, the company has made accessing the feature simple. This means you can easily search the objects by incircle after pressing the home button or navigation bar.

Chat Assistant: Chat Assistant is another innovation that improves the user experience of conversation. The feature dedicatedly provides translation in 13 languages with Samsung’s original keyboard.

Meanwhile, other flagship Galaxy devices, which were launched in 2022 or later, have received several other Galaxy AI features, including browsing assistance, live call translation, note assistance, and many more. However, it may be possible that some of these Galaxy AI features may arrive for older devices in the next major update.
