Samsung brings the February 2024 security patch for the Galaxy A13

Samsung successfully rolled out the February 2024 security patch to top contender devices last month. Now the company is expanding the update to the devices that are listed under the quarterly security update list, so now the Galaxy A13 has started getting the security patch update.

According to the information, the Galaxy A13 is now getting a February 2024 security patch for both of the variants, including LTE and 5G. More specifically, the international version of LTE is getting the new security patch with the firmware version number A135FXXS6DXB1. While the 5G variant is spotted getting the update in Canada with the firmware version number A136WVLS8DXB1,.

The February 2024 security patch comes with more than 60 patches, of which 61 were added by Google to address the issues found in the Android OS, while eight more security vulnerability fixes were addressed by Samsung exclusively for Galaxy devices.

Moreover, the update could also bring some enhancements for the working of the devices. In case you are having any issues while using any function, you should update your device to the latest update, as it may fix them.

If you are using the Galaxy A13 in the above-mentioned regions, then you can update your device by following some simple steps: Go to the system settings, then tap on the software update menu. Now select the Download and Install button. Wait until it finishes searching. If it shows a new update available, then tap on the download button.

Samsung is known for its faster update rollout for Galaxy devices, and sometimes it beats Google in terms of the latest software availability. But this time with the One UI 6.1, it seems like the company is taking longer than usual to expand it due to some issues similar to those Galaxy S22 users have recently encountered. but the company has taken quick action and provided improved software with new updates. Now it looks like the company has brought an incremental update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices after a major UI update.

Firmware details

The fresh updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 were spotted in South Korea with the firmware version numbers F936NKSU2FXE3 and F721NKSU2FXE3, respectively. The latest update is coming with a software package of 341.84 MB. It is using the same security patch level in the form of an April 2024 patch.

What’s new 

According to the changelog, the latest device update will include some new application code that will improve the overall security of the devices. The software package doesn’t appear to introduce any significant changes, but we anticipate that the update will address issues that may be specific to certain users.

The latest update for users who haven’t installed it previously will come with software with a package size of more than 3 GB. Meanwhile, users who have already installed the bug fix update will receive a smaller software package, measuring 352.50 MB.
