Looking for the Galaxy A55? Samsung’s New Phone Skips the US Market

Samsung has already debuted its long-awaited mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A55. But the US fans are still waiting for this latest device, and unfortunately, their wait isn’t worth it since Samsung announced not to launch the Galaxy A55 in the US.

On March 11, the brand announced the Galaxy A55 in India, which arrived with lots of features, upgraded software, and a decent design. It features a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display along with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. The brand is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset and runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1 software.

The brand has attached all the possible novelties to the device but has only decided not to debut in the US. It’s sad to relate, but Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy A55 will not be coming to the US at all.

Here’s the question: exactly why has Samsung decided not to debut the Galaxy A55 in the US?

So Samsung has not stated the reason behind this decision, but as per the reports, the reason is pretty obvious: it is focused on the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 FE devices as a choice for customers. These devices run between $799 and $599, whereas last year’s Galaxy A54 was priced at $449, although this is not a big gap.

Acceptingly, there is not that much gap in the lineup of Samsung at the time, but it is still to be seen in the US how much the Galaxy S35 will cost. The Galaxy A25 runs for $299, so it appears most likely that the brand will price it between $349 and $449, pretty closely filling in that gap.
