More specifically, the unlocked units of the devices are getting a new update with the firmware version numbers F936U1UES5FXE5 and F721U1UES5FXE5, respectively. Meanwhile, locked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have the firmware version numbers F936USQS5FXE5 and F721USQS5FXE5, respectively.
As of writing, the May update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 was spotted on Comcast, while the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is getting the update on the US Cellular network, expected to be available to more carriers in the next few days.
The May 2024 security patch update is a standard security patch update that will not bring a single change to the device, but it will surely improve the internal issues and eradicate the security vulnerabilities.
