New Details of Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Camera Revealed

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will join the Galaxy S-series family in early 2025, for which Samsung has already started working under the hood. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to bring some camera upgrades; new specifications have emerged.

Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would have the most camera upgrades in the lineup. Samsung has not released any official details about the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera. Still, it was revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would feature a quad-camera setup on the rear, including a 200MP primary rear camera and three 50MP telephoto and ultrawide cameras.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera Upgrade: New Details Unveiled

Currently, a tip from @ISAQUES81 on X suggests that the 50MP ultrawide camera on the upcoming flagship phone will have a newer version of the 1/2.76-inch ISOCELL JN1 camera sensor. It is smaller as compared to the 12 MP ultrawide sensor used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it has 4x the resolution.

It could feature a 1/3-inch 50MP ISOCELL telephoto camera, which is a bit bigger than the 10MP sensor on its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It could be paired with a 3x optical zoom lens and should have OIS. Except for the ultrawide camera of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, all the cameras should have OIS for improved shake resistance and higher image quality in low-light scenes. The Galaxy S25 Ultra could have the same 12 MP selfie camera on the front as the Galaxy S24 Ultra

If all the predictions come true, then all the cameras on the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be able to record 4K 60fps, 4K 120fps, and 8K 30fps videos. It is also expected that all the rear cameras on the phone can use EIS at all resolutions and frame rates. The device might also have real-time camera switching during 8K recording and a superior ultrawide camera compared to the rumored iPhone 16 Pro Max. The standard Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are expected to feature a camera setup similar to their predecessors.
