Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim Can’t Match Chinese Rivals in Thinness

Samsung is aggressively working on the development of the new variant of Galaxy Z Flip 6 for only two markets, including China and South Korea. The special variant is branded as “slim,” which aims to target more foldable phone lovers, but it looks like Samsung has failed to do so.

In China, many foldable smartphone lovers are getting various options from their own country’s firms due to high demand. The home country’s smartphone makers have already introduced several innovations, and now they are also successful in making the devices thin. Still, at the same time, Samsung is going with a bit thicker devices than its competitors in China.

More specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is reportedly between 11 mm and 11.5mm, which is approximately 1mm thinner than the original Galaxy Z Fold 6. At the same time, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has already introduced its much thinner devices.

For instance, the Honor Magic V3 foldable is only 9.2 to 3.3 mm thick. For another expand, you can take Xiami’s Mix Fold4, which is 9.47mm thick. So, to give these manufacturers tough competition, Samsung has to bring thinner or equally thin devices to the Chinese market.
