Samsung rolls out December 2024 Security Update for Unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Flip 5 in the US

While the December 2024 security update for the carrier-locked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 is already available in the US, Samsung is looking towards expanding the update for the unlocked models.

The security patch for the US carrier-unlocked models of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 has been released with the F946U1UES5DXKC and F731U1UES5DXKC firmware numbers.

As usual, the Android security bulletin for December significantly arrives with various issues that combine fixes from both Google and Samsung. It addresses a total of 44 patches that solve all the security vulnerabilities that help to offer a secure experience to the users while also protecting the device from external potential threats and harms.

Alternatively, the update further adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, brings certain performance optimizations for smooth functionality, and offers a stable user experience.
