Galaxy S22 Series also gets the December 2024 Security Update in Europe

It’s commendable that Samsung is consistent when it comes to delivering security patches to the entire Galaxy smartphone portfolio, from flagships to mid-tier and affordable phones. Meanwhile, the December 2024 security update hit several devices so far, and Samsung is pushing the update for the older devices, the Galaxy S22 lineup in Europe.

The December 2024 security patch that can be recognized with the detectable build versions, where the Galaxy S22 has S901BXXSDEXKA, the Galaxy S22+ with the S906BXXSDEXKA, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra with S908BXXSDEXKA firmware versions.

Since the latest version roughly measures 259.18MB, the update integrates the December security patch and comes with various significant improvements to the system security that fix all the security vulnerabilities addressed in the older version while also protecting the device from certain external potential threats and harms that lead to a secure user experience and functionality.
