Samsung Brings Tap & Pay to Galaxy M16 5G, First in Its Category

Samsung introduced a new affordable Galaxy M16 5G smartphone along with a convenient flagship phone feature: Samsung Wallet Tap & Pay.
The Korean tech giant is dedicated to paying attention to its affordable smartphones, and a recent example is one of the cheapest smartphones The Galaxy F06 runs Android 15 (One UI 7) out of the box, whereas the flagship phones are still waiting in the corner. Now Samsung set a new example by offering a premium Tap & Pay feature within Samsung Wallet to the newly launched affordable Galaxy M16 5G smartphone.
Samsung has its dedicated mobile payment platform, Samsung Wallet, for Galaxy smartphones. The app offers various convenient features, including a Tap & Pay, although it is only limited to a few limited smartphones due to the hardware limitations.
Now the company has expanded the Tap & Pay feature to the budget segment (Galaxy M16) smartphone out of the box for the first time. Noticeably, Samsung also introduced one more device under the same series, the Galaxy M06 5G, but unfortunately it doesn’t support the feature due to a lack of NFC connectivity.
Since the Galaxy M16 5G has an NFC feature, it is compatible with the supporting Tap & Pay feature, which allows users to make secure and fast payments from their mobile phones at points of sale.
