Although Samsung’s One UI 7 brought about great revolution in UI history so far in recent years, the newest version brings a setback within a smart capability of Good Lock’s QuickStar, which is no longer available in Galaxy devices running the latest software skin.
Basically, Good Lock’s QuickStar integrates a new feature, Quick Settings Instant Access that allows Galaxy users to quickly open the Quick Settings panel by swiping down once from the top right corner without the need to swipe down again to stretch it fully. One UI 7 apparently removed this capability!
A Galaxy S25 user took it to the official community forums, complaining that the separate view mode of Quick Settings seems to be very inconvenient as the user needs to swipe down twice to open the Quick panel to access the music playback menu.
While Samsung has previously added the option to split the notifications from the Quick Settings via the separate mode, where swiping down from the top right side opens up the Quick panel, while swiping down from the left side brings notifications; however, according to the user the device has exactly opposite settings to open up the quick panel and notification center.
Also, One UI 7 beta 3 version further added a new option: Quick panel on the left side, allowing users to access the quick panel from the left side.
To which, the Good Lock team has acknowledged the inconvenience and has confirmed that the feature that allows users to swap the left or right separation (brought in One UI 7 beta 3) of Quick Settings panel is no longer available in One UI 7 version. Since the user owns a Galaxy S25 device that runs stable One UI 7, it looks like Samsung has removed the capability from the stable build.
