Samsung S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra’s One UI 7 build spotted

Samsung is still working on Android 15, and now, for the first time, a One UI 7 build has been spotted for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The Korean tech giant had its dedicated service called Remote Test Lab, which is a cloud-based or on-premise environment that provides access to real devices, browsers, and operating systems for efficient software testing and allows testers to verify application functionality across multiple configurations without physically accessing the hardware, permitting real-time testing and bug identification.

The developers also sometimes upload early builds for newer devices or test updates for older devices, and currently, One UI 7 test updates for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra have been spotted on the service.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra gets its first publicly visible build for One UI 7 with the dedicated build FYD5, and it also contains the April 2025 security patch & the February Google Play System update. This build includes several features like the thicker battery icon, split Quick Settings, Notifications, and a few Galaxy AI features: Photo Assist and Drawing Assist.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra was spotted with the firmware version HYD5. The build features the same April 2025 security patch & Google Play system update version of February 2025. Noticeably, the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s build only includes Live Notifications, blur effects, and Nearby Devices.
Although it was recently reported that Samsung has paused the One UI 7 rollout due to a serious bug, it remains to be seen when it will resume.
